Bill was my piano teachers for several years before he did recording, and I've been listening to his music for years. Looking through some of the comments here, I'm so glad to see that he has fans and that people really love his work... it's incredible.

I am so glad and excited to read a message from a former student of William Joseph. I would love to hear your experiences with your former teacher. I hope you will share them on this forum.
I highly regard William Joseph as my mentor. He is not my teacher, but I do learn from him as I watch him play and through his speech and mannerisms as well. Although I am a lot older, practising and learning to play on the piano, I like to be teachable at any age. One of the things that impressed me about WJ is that he is very open to any genre of music.
I'm so glad that he's still inspiring people, in any way. He was my first piano teacher, and I learned so much from him. It was such a long time ago, so I really don't have many specific stories to recount, but he was just as good a teacher as he is a player, and it really showed even then just how much passion he clearly has for it. After he quit I had to get a new teacher, who wasn't as good, and eventually I quit lessons because it wasn't fun anymore. Looking back now, I think a lot of it was Bill's enthusiasm that kept me going and really inspired me.
(And forgive the casual nickname, that's just how I'm used to referring to him...)
Enjoyed reading your message. Thanks:)
