Sweet Remembrance of You / O America - Celtic Women

Last week at Wiliam's concerts, he played his song "Sweet Remembrance of You". He said lyrics had been put to the music and the Celtic Women recorded it, but renamed it "O America". I looked it up on Youtube and found a performance of on Celtic Women's youtube page. It is absolutely beautiful!!

Yeah, my sister is obsessed

Yeah, my sister is obsessed with celtic women. I heard her playing that video and immediately recognized it. I was confused at first as to how it came about, but this explains it.

Absolutely Beautiful!

I loved this song before and I love it even more now! Celtic Women did such a fantastic job! The words are perfect! This is definitely one of my favorites now! :D

Sweet Remembrance of you / O America

I love the song, Loved it before, but love it even more. To an American girl who loves her country, even when things are rough for us. This really gives us hope that maybe things will get better. Thank you William for creating the music that inspired the lyrics and hopefully will inspire us all. What a legacy you leave for your children!

Oh America - Celtic Woman

William, your "Sweet Remembrance" song was already a beautiful composition, but the lyrics of 'Oh America' as performed by the Celtic Woman group made it even more inspiring and emotional.
Beautiful, as all of your creations. God blessed you with a tremendous talent, to all our benefit and enjoyment. Thank you.

O America/Sweet Remembrance

Oh dear...I do agree the Celtic Women are very good singers....However the lyric's to Sweet Remembrance...well, what a shame. Not everyone is American, and No I don't hear America calling me at all. These lyric's have ruined a perfectly lovely melodic tune, which I really liked but now every time I hear it, I hear O America as well.

Sweet Remembrance Of You - I would have thought that if lyric's were to be put to this lovely tune would have been more about a person and the sweet remembrance of them not a country! Maybe a long lost loved one or something along those lines. What a disappointment to all those not American.

O America/Sweet Rememberance

I have to admit, I was a little taken aback when I saw and heard that they renamed it O America. I really like the title Sweet Rememberance of You. It is a lovely song and I wish they had kept up the Sweet Rememberance theme in the lyrics as well. Nevertheless William Joseph has paid a great tribute to his country through this song.

O Americ

The song is beautifull!
I allready loved 'Sweet Remembrance Of You' , but the lyrics are the finishing touch!
I hope this brings William some extra p.r.! You deserve it, becouse you are great!!

O America

I'm a huge fan of Celtic Woman, and they did a wonderful job at making the song their own while still featuring the beautiful piano line. I love it! :)

Wonderful

Wonderful performance!
William's song is just fantastic and the girl's voice are wonderful too.
This is very important to William and we are very happy!!!
Success, William!! You deserve it!!!

Oh America

I am a huge Celtic Woman fan and went to the Charlotte show on June 2nd. "Oh America" brought tears to my eyes! Thank you William Joseph for composing such a moving piece and thank you to Brendan Graham for putting lyrics to the song. We gave Celtic Woman a huge standing ovation afterwords. I can't get this song out of my head!

Also, "Oh America" will be released as a MP3 download on June 23rd!
Celtic Woman will being singing this song on Good Morning America on June 30th at 8am! Tune in to watch the amazing performance!

Sweet Rememberance of You

Thanks for the link. I just saw the video. It is lovely!!!!

I went to the Celtic Woman

I went to the Celtic Woman concert in July and had no idea about O America. About forty seconds into it and puzzling why it sounded so familiar I practically lept from my chair when I realized it was one of William's songs. I was disappointed that William's name was incredibly tiny on the little handout the ushers were distributing; I didn't even see it until I examined it under bright light later on. What an mutual honor for both William and Celtic Woman. I wish him many more such opportunities to share his music!
